Welcome to the Pend Oreille Lake & River System Eurasian Watermilfoil Information Center Home Page.  This website and the Eurasian Watermilfoil Information Center are being provided by Clean Lakes, Inc., in support of the Bonner County's Eurasian Watermilfoil Control Program.

The Eurasian Watermilfoil Information Center, located at 104 Pine Street, Suite “C”, Sandpoint, ID 83864 is back again in 2008 to provide information for the 2008 Bonner County, Pend Oreille Lake & River System Eurasian Watermilfoil Control Program.  The phone number is 208-946-8832, and the email contact is info@pendoreillemilfoil.com. 

We will strive to keep the public updated on program activities, as well as locate information and find the people who will be able to answer your questions related to the 2008, Pend Oreille Lake & River System Eurasian Watermilfoil Control Program.

o   The Information Center hours will be Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  Beginning on July 24, 2008, the Milfoil Information Center staff will be posted at City Beach were they will handout information on the program, as well as support a boater survey to gather information about pathways of invasion for aquatic invasive species that is being conducted by the Pend Oreille Basin Commission via grant funding from the Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Foundation (AERF). 

o   Tours of the project treatment locations will be held on Wednesday’s at 12:15 PM at the nearest boat ramp to the project sites.  Tour signups will be in advance at the Information Office.

The intent of this effort is to support the Bonner County Aquatic Invasive Species Task Force with their Public Education and Communication goals and objectives. Information will be available on the Project, the available control options, project site maps, aquatic herbicides being used, posting and public notification information, information on water quality monitoring protocols, daily work locations, and other project related information.
